Practitioner obligations
- Respect client autonomy and informed consent.
- Maintain appropriate physical, emotional, financial and professional boundaries.
- Provide only services within competence and legal scope.
- Accurately represent credentials, education and experience.
- Avoid unsupported health claims and fabricated diagnoses.
- Protect confidential information appropriately.
- Refer clients to qualified professionals when needs exceed scope.
- Do not exploit trust, dependency, vulnerability, fear or illness to sell services.
- Comply with laws applicable where services are provided.
